Feride Morçay is a British-Turkish actress based in London, working across stage and screen. She trained at LAMDA, completing the MA Classical Acting for the Professional Theatre, and at Rose Bruford College, where she completed the MA Performance and Collaborative Theatre-Making.

Her work spans film and theatre and includes her solo stage production Chickadee.

Born and raised in Istanbul, Feride spent a high-school exchange year in the US through AFS Intercultural Programs before moving to London. She studied Media and Communications at Goldsmiths, University of London, with a focus on psychology in film, embodiment theories and filmmaking.

Her languages are native Turkish, native-level English, fluent German, and some French and Spanish. Her accent work includes RP, Standard American and a range of European accents. She is available internationally.

Biography & further training

Alongside her postgraduate training at LAMDA and Rose Bruford College, Feride completed Advanced Acting Training at Identity School of Acting.

Further training includes two years of screen acting, physical theatre at Studio Oyuncuları in Istanbul, and clowning at École Philippe Gaulier, alongside workshops with Ivana Chubbuck, Act Without Acting and Run At It Shouting.

Feride continues to train in contemporary dance, flamenco and singing, has completed a fine art academy course, and has modelling experience across art projects and independent fashion brands.

She completed 200-hour Hatha and Vinyasa and 50-hour Yin yoga teacher training in India.

Her Media and Communications studies at Goldsmiths focused on psychology in film, embodiment theories and filmmaking. She attended St. Georg Austrian High School in Istanbul and completed a US high-school exchange through AFS Intercultural Programs.
